About Varsity Athletic Consulting
The founder of Varsity Athletic Consulting, Mandy Commons DiSalle, is a Cincinnati, OH native. As a former high-school state champion swimmer, she went on to compete at the collegiate level as a full-scholarship athlete at Clemson University. Throughout her successful career, she was an NCAA All-American, team captain, school record holder and competed at Olympic Trials. Following her career at Clemson, she coached the women's swim team at the University of Toledo while obtaining her MBA.
The development of Varsity Athletic Consulting is a direct result of her experiences at every stage of her athletic career. The culmination of her experiences being recruited as a high school athlete, assisting prospective students as a college athlete, and recruiting students as a college coach have helped create the knowledge and dedication to assist others through this challenging process. She has a strong desire to encourage young adults to achieve their dreams by helping them determine the path they want to pursue.
"During the time I was going through the recruiting process, there was little help available to assist my family and me. My parents were relatively unfamiliar with the process, rules, and financial aid available and we were left to navigate on our own. I want to provide high school athletes and their families the opportunity to be informed about the process and be assisted through the recruiting efforts in order to make the most informed decision about such a life changing step. I am very passionate about the value of participating in sports at the collegiate level. I believe with the right guidance, you can find the best academic and athletic combination for you."
